The Luxeford silent sale, held on 28th May 2012 ahead of its up-coming November Launch has been a widely held success.
Our Head of Jewelry Asia Edmond Chan would like to take this chance to thank all of the clients, both buyers and sellers who have helped make this sale really outstanding. The sale attracted many overseas clients as well as clients from East Asia and Hong Kong.
Interest was shown across the board, but especially in the quality diamond items such as Lot 30 a pair of diamond ear studs at 2.10 and 2.20 carats (est. HK$150,000-250,000 / US$19,000-32,000) selling with strong competition at HK$336,000 double the estimate. Lady’s watches also fared well, all sold, the pieces including the star Lot 26, a Harry Winston “Premier Biretrograde” Lady’s diamond wristwatch (est. HK$90,000-120,000 / US$11,000-15,000) sold at HK$144,000. The sale also included a good amount of Colored gem pieces and interesting Jadeite jewelry and carvings. The impressive 56.12 carat rubellite cabochon ring (est. HK$120,000-180,000 / US$15,000-23,000) selling at the same price as the star Lot, indicating there is still a strong interest in rubellite in the market.
With the tremendous success of this sale, Luxeford is setting off at full speed to the upcoming November Sale. It is our pleasure to have you with us and we look forward to seeing you again in November 2012.
